Content Update

Hail good females and fellows. So it has been weeks since my last post therefore I wanted to touch base with everyone on the progress being made. I am currently researching Quantum Computers for the next Tech Love article which, as you might have guessed already, is a very involved technology. There are many concepts that are new to me and maybe even a little bit above my pay grade. Nonetheless, I consider it my personal honor to delve into this emerging technology for the sake of an article.

Looking ahead: we will see what Quantum Mechanics has to do with Quantum Computers, discuss how binary will be a thing of the past, and hypothesize what it could mean for the industry, the consumer market as well as the average Joe/Jane. I hope that this article raises some questions and would love to hear any suggestions or questions that you fine folks might have.

To update my progress on FreeCodeCamp (FCC) I dashed through the first few sections and ran into a snafu when I got to the tribute page assignment. There was a small learning curve there that I needed to seek outside help with. God bless youtube instructional videos and the millions of dedicated contributors. Thanks to the "How to" genre of videos I was able to learn and better understand the differences between our interactive FCC module and the format that CodePen is using.

CodePen separates CSS, HTML, and JS coding whereas FCC handles it all in the same module. This was a stumbling block for me at first and once I realized that this was an oversite of mine I feared I was going to need to start back from the beginning a third time. Apropos I have discovered a magnificent video that raises this semi-genius's programming level!!! Woot woot! Level two obtained (tee hee) and I have now noticed, whilst writing this article in fact, that the course curriculum has been updated again. Thank you, Quincy, it is almost as if you know when I need a helping hand.

In my wild and crazy younger years I would have probably not seen the gift that this curriculum change provides. What once was viewed as a frustrating, undesired, and unexpected challenge in my path is now seen as the educating experience that makes my path so fruitful. Ooooo....snap! I think my wisdom has also leveled up! Anywho, these new assignments are an excellent opportunity for me to backtrack and uncover the differences in CSS, JS, and HTML that I had not fully appreciated. At the same time, I can stay updated on the new content posted by FCC.

Finally my fearless friends and foes, I have been working steadily on a lifelong project that I intend to bring to the World Wide Web very soon. This 25-year project is culminating into what should be the very first MMORPG-RTS  fantasized simulator in its own unique world populated with all the world's mythological characters and creatures. The lands of Epimetheus contain 7 separate continents in an open sandbox world. Players will be able to choose between 42 distinct races, 36 unique classes, under any one of  120 different faith sets. Storylines will be player-driven and each server will have its own set of moderators and build its own diverse history.

Stay tuned for more information on this and other exciting updates. Only at SquiggleTech.blogspot.com
